Passenger Heat

I am having a problem with no heat (hot air) coming out of the passenger floor vent. The actuator moves the flapper for the drivers side just fine and hot air comes out of the left and right side upper vents like it should and all other functions of the HVAC system work perfectly.

Is there a separate valve or actuator for the passengers side or could there be something internally in the airbox blocking the passenger floor vent?

I searched and saw numerous posts for no heat on the drivers side, but nothing really mentioned on why nothing would be coming out of the passengers floor vent.

Thanks!

Chad

Model 124 Maintenance Manual Index

Look up chapter 83, that is the complete service manual for the climate control.

The 124 climate control has one vacuum pod that opens the footwell flaps. It acts directly on the left side flap and there is a link rod over to the right side flap. I suspect the link rod has become detached.

Thanks y'all. I just got the car back in September and the maintenance records show that the AC Evaporator was replaced several years ago. Sounds like someone forgot to reconnect that or knocked it loose and didn't know it.
