Need advice with bad vibration in first gear
I have a 1981 240D with an automatic trans.that has developed a noticeable vibration only in first gear from a dead stop. When the car shifts into a higher gear it is smooth with no vibration at all.Would it be the center bearing or flex disk causing the issue. The rear axle has been replaced about a year ago so I assume it's not the cv joints.Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

Get under the car and look.
I have had collapsed motor mounts vibrate the entire vehicle at idle and as soon as I start rolling, the vibration goes away.

300SDL takes off vibration issue?
Could be the exhaust. This was the case in my SDL. Put the car on a ramp and look for loose parts.
