Pic Of An "M" Pump?

I'm installing my Dieselmeken "M"-based pump and it would be helpful to have a pic of an "M" pump in place and working. So far no luck on Google but maybe I haven't hit on the right search term.

So - any of you guys have a pic?

EDIT: I did more Google searching and turned up a thread from here. It showed a few pics of both the 3-eared (MW) lift pump and a 2-eared (M) lift pump. My 2 eared pump has only 2 holes - evidently there is no hole for the primer pump. The lift pump I have was supplied by Dieselmeken and I don't know it's original application. Greazzer is working on a rebuilt pump for me and that might be my best bet as it seems like I'll need a primer pump, too. I guess I'll need to be a little more patient.

Dan

About the primer pump, the 60x engines have a lift pump that doesn't have a hand primer attached. You just crank the engine and the lift pump bleeds the system by itself due to increased displacement over the older lift pumps. If you have a new style lift pump like what comes on a 60x, there's no need to install a hand prime pump.

This info may not pertain to the 61x, but it may be helpful.

Thanks all!

John, the pic Cho posted shows a different lift pump than the one Goren sent - mine has only 2 ports (fuel out and fuel return) with evidently no provision for a primer pump. I'm guessing manny's explanation must be right - that the 60X pump will work and that it self primes.

Here's a pic of my lift pump with my chubby little finger pointing to it. The open hole is where I screwed up and broke a connector for the fuel return line - need to find a fix for that.

Confusing when you don't know these kind of details.

After some Google searching and Cho's heads-up on it maybe being a 60X lift pump I found a FSM entry that seems to have gotten me there. Looks like the lift pump was from a 606.910 and the part I screwed up was labeled 90/7 on the drawing. Off to the dealer to order up a replacement.

Again, THANKS all for your input!

You going to order the original lift pump for the M pump? I'm sure Dieselmeken put the 606 lift pump there for a good reason, probably to pump more fuel for his super pump. Did you ask him what you are doing is a good idea?

I worked it out to keep the 606 lift pump as follows. I agree that Goran selected this for a reason and it made sense to keep it.

I DID solve the lift pump screw-up thanks to our local Diesel injection guys, Diesel Parts. After a false start I took the lift pump off and took it over to them and they came up with a slightly earlier version of the fuel return fitting that I screwed up. Here come the pics:

The replacement fitting and the place it lives.

The pump reassembled and ready to bolt back in.

Back in the hole and plumbed!

And the oil lines back in place and the oil pressure sender back in the loop.

Another one of those jobs that took stupidly longer than it should have. But now I can reassemble the rest of this mess.

Dan
