I have decided to replace the compressor on my 1999 E300TD. My compressor clutch has been making a very loud machine gun like clicking noise when it engages for the past five or six years...its a ticking time bomb and I am having bad belt vibrations so I have decided to go ahead and replace it while I am replacing some other parts. Does anyone with experience replacing a compressor on the W210 have any tips/pointers/do's and don't they would like to share with me? I have heard weird things can happen when replacing this compressor like an electrical glitch with the dash controller locking up the new compressor, etc. All advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you
