Good job. I wish I had torn mine down. I'm waiting for sun valley to call back on my 722.303 rebuild that they have in progress.

I didn't have the nerve to disassemble the valve body.

Good job but it shouldn't happen in the first place. This is typical 'while I am in there' syndrome. That is why I never fix more than is necessary or hoard parts for 'future', aka, just in case syndrome.

In my defense, I was doing a complete rebuild of the transmission and didn't want to put the valve body back in with all the crud that was in it. But I had almost zero work space and the parts all got mixed up.

I have seen countless 722.3 valve body diagrams, but they are all different than the 722.361 parts plus the illustrations of the springs aren't clear. So they weren't really any help. A photograph from Sun Valley was the most useful thing I had.

i have a 91 350sd transmission with dead reverse i was going to do something with but then went with the 722.6 conversion. i was trying to find specs on it because i noticed it felt way better than my 87 300td's 722.3. Seemed to have a lower stall torque converter as well. Don't know what to do with it now.

I have the same, a trans from my '93, tighter TC and the big 4-bolt flange on the output, ... not sure whether it is worth saving for a future project.

Yep, 140. Thought about pulling the driveshaft too, but I think that the scrapyard is going to get that with the body, ... sometime soon (no time for projects).
