Anyone used the Elring heat shield on a 617?

I'd really like to get the best heat shields for the next time I pull the injectors. I'm using the Victor this time. I know they are pretty popular.

I have found that the black ones corrode slightly slower when exposed to the environ.

I prefer the smaller diameter opening in the injector seals, if you can find them and your nozzles still have a good mating surface where these will make contact.

I haven't seen the Elring shields. Are they black or are the Victor shields the black ones?

I really forget / don't pay attention. but a quick look indicates the reinz are black.

don't get me wrong, I will take elring over reinz any day.

For this particular item, I havent seen a big enough difference to justify a firm opinion on manufacturer

My Elring gasket kit came with them and all of mine have been black (I forget the make of the others). It's a fair guess that there are only a couple of actual manufacturers of these so it makes sense that they all look one of two ways. All of mine have sealed well.
