300SD Check Valve
Hi,
I have been looking for the check valve (617-018-00-29) that goes near the turbo oil drain tube and into the oil pan WITH NO LUCK! It seems that they have discontinued the valve, but I have been reading that people have been using the vacuum pump check valves, as they are saying they are the same part, but it looks different to me. Has anyone had experience with this? Thanks!

After looking at the images closer, it does appear that the check valve just fits inside of that fitting. Is that correct?

Have you tried the MB Classic Center in Irvine, California, phone 1-866-622-5277?

The vacuum check valve is more expensive and I'm not even sure if it will work, although others say it will...

They were speaking of the possibility of the Disc Type Valves inside of the Vacuum Pump being the same as the Disc Valve that is part of the Crankcase Breather Drain.
Which Disc Valve to use and from what vacuum pump has been previously discussed in other threads. The innards of the screw in Vacuum Pump Check Valve are not the same.
