W123 OM617 Sanden Belt
I have Richard's Sanden Kit... the belt sucks ...anyone out there know what *size* belt works best for this application????

When I re-did my belts, I believe they were 10mm (from memory).

"Sucks" isn't a really a technical description of the problem. More specific information would help address the situation.

I've posted about this before. What I think you're talking about is the belt is "undersized". The original setup used one 1/2" v belt to turn the compressor. Unfortunately, as near as I can tell, there is no clutch/pulley assembly available in single 1/2" for a Sanden. So the dual 3/8" is supplied. As a general rule, you can put a narrower belt in a pulley, but not a wider belt. Thats why the belt is a 3/8" also. Haven't tried putting a 1/2 belt in a 3/8 pulley. Maybe you can be the guinea pig. I have found it needs tightening more than I like to keep it quiet.
