Stanadyne

Is anyone familiar with Stanadyne brand diesel additive? I found it at a local diesel supply place. I can get five gallons for about $40. For any of you TRI-STATE DIESEL CLUB men, I could pick up a batch to divvy up at the next meet.

Over on tdiclub.com

a lot of people seem to think that this additive is the best of all solutions to the inferior quality of diesel fuels currently available in the USA. There are lots of discussions of the subject on their "fuels and lubricants" board.

Stanadyne is VW's officially recommended additive for TDI's, and it's sold in most dealerships.

mccan,
I've heard pretty great stuff about the stanadyne additive but have never tried any because t isn't available around here. If they pick a date for the Jersey meet that I can make, I would definitely buy two gallons of that stuff from you (if you would be so kind to pick it up). Thanks.

Question How do you use it?

How much Stanadyne do you use? What does it do for my car?

I will try to find some in the boonies!

Thanks.

Question McCan, WHAT are you buying?

McCan, I called today and got the following prices from two dealers in my area:

Performance 5 gallons $212.34
Jr. Performance 5 gallons $120.00

WHAT are you buying? Want to ship some to me?
