I have a question about Engine shock mounts on pelican parts.
When I searched for engine shock mounts on pelican parts three mostly the same part numbers came up:
123-241-48-13-M22 $145 123-241-48-13-INT $143 123-241-48-13-MBZ $117 Why the price difference? is the cheaper one take longer to ship? Thanks in advance to anyone who reads/responds to this. |

Thank you for the reply,
I have one additional question, do you think it is actually necessary to replace this item? Or can I get away with just replacing engine shocks and engine mounts? If you can't answer this question without seeing the engine running then ill post a video tomorrow. Regards, |

For this particular subject, however, you will find lots of people saying these parts are not necessary. They are meant to help damp (engine) starting and stopping vibrations. If your engine mounts are hard and collapsed then the perceived benefit of these (rather expensive) little shock absorbers is not likely to be noticed. If however you've got recent / new motor mounts then it might be worth trying to protect these (often difficult to fit) parts from excessive vibration. Although Mercedes did fit these parts it is unlikely that not fitting them will bring immediate doom and gloom. I think it is possible that not fitting them might accelerate engine mount wear / collapse but I have no data to back up this assumption. At the end of the day 'tis your car 'tis your choice.
