I just got home from Picking up this car in Ft.Worth... it ran great.... this is a very sweet car... I love the shifter and the hyd clutch... Thanks Diesel Power.... , Greg

Great to hear that you made it back without any problems. I would LOVE to hear what you find when you tear the engine down.

The machine shop that I use in Macon has a block, head and crank from a 1979 240D that he wants $150 for. He is also in a position where he could resleeve the block and go through the head (he encourages the customer to supply the parts when he does a MB engine). If you want his name/number let me know. They do good work and he can put it on a pallet to ship it if you are interested.
