Nut size?

Yes, I can go under and pull the other nut, and size it... But the car is parked offsite, so I'm hoping someone can provide the size....

On my 240D, on the passenger side, the AT cooling pipe mounts to the oil pan with a little looped piece of metal. It's loose. The nut is gone.

I think it's because my slow idle is really rough with AC on and/or in D. Fast idle is smooth as silk.

So essentially I need to replace that nut. Any idea of the size?

Thanks!

He's talking about the infamous transmission cooler line brackets that cut through the steel line once the rubber part is gone.

Exactly.

My rubber is good. The nut just came off and my car is parked remotely. I need an oil pan gasket and a bunch of other minor PM things. Just want to have the parts in advance.

Sorry, I'm being lazy not going over to the car and pulling the other nut. I just thought someone might know it off the top of their head.

On my 300D's, those trans tube clamps use the allen-head oil pan bolts, just a longer bolt w/ a round stand-off washer. But, the AC h.p. hose bracket secures w/ 2 nut off the top of a long oil pan bolt, which should be the same. I recall it takes a 10 mm socket, which should tell you the corresponding nut.
