W123 electric sunroof wind deflector installation help?

Hi all,
I just pulled my wind deflector to replace the springs & clips to make it work. I'm having trouble getting it reinstalled. I can get one side and the center installed, but I can not get the second side into place. It seems that the deflector is always hitting the sunroof pan before I can get the final piece clipped in. Can anyone offer any tips? I have read the FSM, but it's pretty vague. Trying to figure out what angle to push it in at, and whether the center should be engaged or not before I try to put the second side in.
Thanks!

For future viewers:
This wound up being a two person job. We used a plastic trim prybar to lift the plastic clip that the deflector goes into up a bit, then manuevered the deflector into place and snapped it in with a palm.
