Mutt At The Track

I'm going to try to post a video of me and Mutt going down the Ohio Mile to a 126.9xxx run. On Sunday I ran a 128.3880 - both were new track records in F/DT class.

Let's see if the vid will post. This is from my new GoPro and I'm still learning. Also, so far no luck trimming the vid so youll probably want to start watching at about 7 minutes as we had a hold on the start line which is pretty boring.

Let's try this......

Nope, guess not. Anyhow, Mutt ran great and maybe I can get someone to tell me why YouTube won't host my video.......

Dan

Come on out! We're not that far from you. The September meet is Sept. 30 to October 2. It's a good idea to make motel reservations early if you plan to stay over as the local places fill up quickly. I'm thinking a day of racing and a great dinner sounds like a super day.

I'd just stick it on Youtube. Then you only have to upload it once and can post it on any forum.

It'll depend on things here. Thanks for the offer!

Trying the vid from Y'allTube (the Southern version).

It says my YouTube file is invalid though I copied the URL straight from YouTube. Any suggestions?

I don't see a way to embed a Youtube video on this particular forum (it's usually [youtube][/youtube] tags), but you should be able to just post the link in url tags. Or is this forum seriously that stuck in the 1990s?

Or, just paste the url as text in your message. I'm sure people have been dying to see a run for long enough that they won't mind having to copy and paste.

Let's try this. I can't seem to trim it so please forward to 7 minutes for your viewing pleasure - we had to hold the track to remove FOD just as I got to the start line and I can't reach the GoPro once I'm buckled in so the camera just ran. If anyone wants to see a motorcycle run you might start looking at about the 5 minute mark - a couple of 'em ran right before me.

The sort of buzzing noise you hear during the run is, I think, the driveshaft just touching the drive shaft loop. I'll check it out before the September meet.

Youtube trick: You can have the video start at a specific time by putting it in the link itself, like this...

Nice to see the run!

Thanks for the trick! That's one I'll use for sure. I'm new to all this video stuff.

BTW - When I stop at the beginning of the return road I'm popping the belts, pulling my helmet, reinstalling my sunglasses (they won't fit in my helmet), rolling down the window, and generally getting more comfy in a tight cockpit (and I'm a little guy). Then off to pick up my time slip and back to the pits.

Cool! That was undramatic! I was very surprised when it was over. It sounds good under throttle and like a 617 at idle. great work!

Mercedes pickup.

It's an '85 S-10 with an '85 OM617 and a Getrag/240D 4 speed. Check my build thread for a info or go to BangShift.com, go to "Forums", then "Project Cars" then search for my name (Dan Stokes).
