AC Schrader valve cores

Has anyone read this document ? http://www.schraderinternational.com/~/media/Schrader/Files/Document%20Library%20PDFs/North%20America/AC%20Valve%20Manual_User%20Guide_10-21-13.ashx

I was looking for torque info on Schrader valve cores for AC. Didn't realize there are so many different ones. Does anyone know which core is the one that Mercedes used in the 617.xxx service ports?

"B1.1 Installation torque
Each valve core will have a different installation torque
recommendation because the thread size is unique for
each core. Torque of the integrated valve to its adapter
will be different for the high and low side version.

Std. Core: 0.36 – 0.67 Nm / 3 – 6 in-lbs

JRA: 0.56 – 1.13 Nm / 5 – 10 in-lbs

8mm: 1.13 – 2.26 Nm / 10 – 20 in-lbs

10mm: 1.70 – 3.40 Nm / 15 – 30 in-lbs

Primary Seal (HS): 9.5 – 13.6 Nm / 7 – 10 ft-lbs

Primary Seal (LS): 6.8 – 9.5 Nm / 5 – 7 ft-lbs

All torque recommendations are for dry threads.
If lubricants are used the installer should develop dry
vs. lubricated correlation."

I'll just add that there are different Schraeder valves that physically can be screwed in, but would cause issues. Most common are for auto & bike tires, and I think they interchange. AC ones have special rubber for R-134A. The ones in the tip of a compression gage must have a very weak spring so they pop open easy to not affect the pressure reading, they usually have a white ring. I tighten all finger tight, using the special tool (~3/4"D handle), maybe 2 ft-lbf.

I think if you pulled the ones from your old lines, you should be able to match them up. From what I can tell, the differences are noticeable.

I never went so crazy with the torque specs on the different sized schraders, remove, replace and tighten with my little santech tool, one end does standard tiny ones the other end can handle JRA, GM8 and 10mm. - New schraders are always a good idea when servicing a unit.

The valves can be had at oriellys for about 10 dollars a baggie of 8, the tool I got from ebay for about 8 dollars. The orielly baggie would have standard, JRA and 8mm. They also sell a small blister pack of standard cores with caps and their tool for about 5 dollars.

The only port I abhor is the ball loaded one similar kind is also found on some mercedes low side too.
