Where does your shop lift your w123??
I've bought an EZ car lift. I can't wait to try it on a w123. Other cars have been super easy.
So this is sort of a follow up to that other thread I made (about floor jacks). I'm sure everyone, even dealers, lift the cars on other points than the lifting pads shown in the FSM. So what's the best spot to get a straight run for a long beam on a lift?? I have this: http://ezcarlift.com/ezcarlift_productinfo.html

Been quite a while since I had my 123 in a shop. But with the 2 post lift
they put one arm pad on the rear Sub Frame Bushing and the front one on the Box frame.....as I recall. I looked at the site you posted and pictures posted of various cars lifted. I would not set it on Asphalt or dirt. I would only lift on concrete. Asphalt especially on a hot day, with weight on it the lift could sink into it and up set you vehicle. I have seen this many times working around equipment over the years. Charlie

Thanks Charlie!! That's what I thought too. Fortunately my garage floor is concrete. There's also weight distributing steel plate for use on soft surfaces.
