Klean Strip Aircraft Paint Remover - how to store?

OK, I purchased Klean Strip Aircraft Paint Remober (link below) to strip and refinish the wheels on the 560SEL. Only one problem, I"ve been storing it outside in a storage shed.

The can has expanded due to the heat and today I noticed it seems like the can may be leaking! I called the chemical place and they said I could place the contents into a glass container of some type. I'm thinking of trying to locate a large pickle jar, the kind they use for restaurants (think LARGE). Any other ideas?

Is the glass container so you can see the effect of glass shards in every direction when it explodes? I'm thinking many plastic containers should be able to handle it, if tested beforehand.

A better idea would be finding a way to vent the shed.

Can you pour some off into a smaller glass jar and just use the can?

Go ahead and use it up... take the paint off your neighbors car....
put it into the glass container like they recommended......
and move it to a cooler place....

Either you stripped some tiny wheels

or you didn't wipe off the lid.
Change in temperature causes expansion/contraction. If you were to freeze the can (DON'T use your freezer, just sayin') with the lid on, the can would contract, and partially collapse. Heating to just cool room temperature can cause the can to expand with a *pop*.
If you have used some of the contents, there should be less remaining in the can. While the vapor area has increased, the volume of the solvent has not- it should not show at the lid (unless the shed is REALLY hot).

Move the can to a cooler location. Maybe just a hole in the ground, in a 5-gallon bucket. Don't install the bucket lid too tightly, or it will also *pop*, and might surprise you.

The ground storage, like a cool root cellar, should keep temperatures more even- it's the amount of change that causes the vapors to expand/contract.
