1999 E300D anti freeze type

Replacing my radiator, existing anti freeze is not green but more of a bright yellow color..... anyone know what type of anti freeze this might be?

My 2006 E320 CDI takes blue anti freeze so I'm wondering why this bright colored yellow anti freeze in in my 1999 E300D...

Thanks in advance

It's MB Spec 325.0 fluid, available from the dealer ($$$) or NAPA as Zerex G-05.

Yellow is usually Xerex G05. That's the original spec, and it's still available.

MB changed the spec and the colour. Check with your dealer, but I believe the new and old types are compatible.

This is the current MB list for all cars up until 2014

Mercedes-Benz Betriebsstoff-Vorschriften: Motoröl, Getriebeöl, ATF, Kühlmittel, Bremsflüssigkeiten

Most hard to find in NA, but does includes Zerex G05 which is a bit cheaper than the OE coolant. Never needed much, so I use MB spec for my 98 E320.

if NAPA is not close to you, then oreilly parts have it, if thats not close to you then ford have it as motorcraft premium gold coolant. Chrysler also sell it but theirs is dyed dark orange.
