Bosch 80035

So, I read on the Bosch website where Bosch 80035 glow plugs have been discontinued with no replacement. Anyone know of a good alternative?

I believe Monark and Heyco also make them. Look on US and UK ebay and buy some extras.
From what I have read the 80035 Glow Plugs seem to hold up well unless your Injectors are spraying poorly or there is some other issue like poor timing.

There are places that may not be out of stock.

Glow Plug Adapter, regular Pencil to fit Filament type.

You could start of using some loop/filiment type Glow Plugs and see if you can rework the inside diameter of them.

Yes, quite a good thread that one. Here's mine while I'm here Lowering compression ratio with special 'glow' plugs?

Think loop plugs have bit of a thin wall unfortunately. Used 80035s would be perfect but I've already bought 50mm M18 bolts from a hardware store just waiting for me to put them on the lathe.

That is the same size used to tap out the Oil Cooler on 300Ds with a turbo to accept the repiar nipples. Also older car spark plug holes.
Nice to have the possiblilty of double duty if you buy a tap.
