1981 300SD updated pics

Washed it today and took some pics. One pic of the dash. I have two very small cracks, about one inch long, starting at the temp sensor - otherwise the dash is OK. Have used Armorall on it all these years. Lot of folks diss Armorall but it has worked pretty well for me. Original owner.

Beautiful car. The W126 is a really nice design, and I've always admired that exterior color.

Agree. Told wife I would give it up when it stopped running; that was fifteen years or so ago. She is still waiting. Just amazing; it starts in about one second - every time. My son bought a 2014 E350 and it has a lot of buttons and whistles but I question whether it will still be running thirty five years later.

Armor All is fine. Just don't stop using it.

Wow Tyler you got a nice SD there. How many miles on it? Let me know when you want to get rid of it.

Dash

Very nice car, I used to have a midnight blue 300SD but it had a blue vinyl interior (yuck). Is that the auto climate control sensor I see on the top of the dash? What build month is your car? My '81 300SD is a 7/81 build and has the sensor up by the dome light.

Build date is 1/81. Yes climate temp sensor is in the dash. Guess they moved it pretty fast. It is dark blue; not sure the name of the color.
