w116 300sd Brake Rotors
1979 300sd (w116)
Vin#116 120 12 007460 Called the dealer on prices for front rotors and the prices have gone thru the roof. Now I'm looking at Balo or Zimmerman. Never had used parts from Zimmerman. Can someone here chime in on recommending good front rotors Any advice greatly appreciated |

I have Bendix rotors on the 1984 300DT and they have been outstanding. After a decade of hard driving the front rotors are still well within spec. I've seen several places that sell them; that said I've wondered if there are different grades/quality of Bendix rotors. Does anyone know?

Hi xaliscomex,
I've attached a link to our catalog where you'll be able to find a selection of great, front rotors for your 79' 300SD. Hope this helps! 1979 Mercedes-Benz 300SD Brake Rotors - 1979 Mercedes-Benz 300SD Base Sedan - Brake Pads & Rotors - Page 3 -Dmitry |

I would get the Centric Cryo-frozen brake rotors. I have them on my Mb and they are great! Also, be careful on what kind of brake pads you get. I used some ceramic impregnated pads to reduce brake dust, yea, it reduced brake dust big time, but stopping distance sucked and my rotors/wheels were always hot. I used the Textar yellow box brake pads along with the Cryo-frozen rotors. There is a lot of brake dust, but my braking is phenomenal with absolutely no brake fade!!!! I would rather replace brake pads then brake rotors because they are easier to change if you know what I mean!
