im going to go with the ANSA one and see how it goes.

Dan, You can put these exhaust systems on your self. Not all that hard to do.
When I did ours, I used some Jack Stands to hold it as I bolted things up.
This keeps it level.

If you replace the Down Pipe, be sure to soak the nuts on the manifold before trying to remove them. Then there is the bracket/Clamp at the transmission.
Soak those or cut them off.

I use kroil, but use your favorite flavor.

Be sure to order the clamps etc... when you order the Mufflers and pipes.

If the body of the muffler is in good shape and you can find a old time exhaust shop ( not a chain store ) new bushings can be welded on to reinstall the muffler. Or dig around the Walker exhaust site and use a universal muffler.

I have a new muffler (aftermarket) and down pipe for a non-turbo 300D for $100 plus shipping. I have it already boxed up ready to go (another person bombed out).....Rich

Straight pipe.

I'm kinda dissapointed that someone didn't make a fuss about me calling the stubs on the ends of a muffler "bushings". See below

WALKERŪ EXHAUST SYSTEMS :: Universal Fit

WALKERŪ EXHAUST SYSTEMS: WalkerŪ Pro-FitŪ Mufflers

Spot-welded bushings are featured on Walker Pro-Fit mufflers for greater stability and support, proving durability and long service life.

WALKERŪ EXHAUST SYSTEMS: WalkerŪ Glass Pack Mufflers

A heavy gauge shell and expandable bushings are featured on Walker Glass Pack mufflers, for durability and ease of use on custom applications.

Another vote for straight piping it. You'd be surprised how quiet it is without a muffler.

Ansa is garbage, stay away. If the car is a keeper, install an OEM. If it is a beater, install a used OEM unit.
