identifying an object on the injector pump

Hi,

1986 300sdl

Please see attached link.
Anyone know what that part is? The part that is attached to the injector pump, with the green valve attached.
The black rubber vacuum line is nearly disintegrated.
I checked the Mercedes EPC site and I could not identify it.

If you attach the image to your post rather than linking to a proprietary photo app it would make things a lot nicer and would survive in the forum long after the photo app account has expired.

Thanks,

Mach4 - I've tried numerous times to attach the photo directly and I never have any luck. I've tried disabling the fire wall and it I still have no luck.

NZScott - Thanks again.

Dwayne

One way to attach a pic is to get the pic on your computer like in your "pictures" file or on a USB/Jump Drive.

Find and click on the the "Advanced" button and click on that and below the posting area will open up and click on the "Aanage attachments" button and another window will come up.

In the window there is a list of the type of files that can be attached and the max size the files can be. If you need to change the size of the file that cannot be done in the window.

Click on the "Browze" which opens another window and go find where your pic is located on the Computer. Select your pic and click on the "Opwn" button and the pic file name will appear in the "Manage Attachments" window.
In the "Manage Attachments" window click on upload and wait until the icon of your pic shows up in the "Manage Attachments" window and also at the bottom of the Post near the "Manage Attachment" button.

When that happens there should be instructions telling you to close the "Manage Attachment" window.

There is 2 "Submit Reply" buttons one in about the middle of the post nd another at the very bottom. I always have clicked on the bottom one and that should post your post along with attachent.

^^What he said...

The attached images show as a thumbnail - I always copy the URL of the attached image and insert that into the body of the post using [img][/img] tags for the convenience of the reader.

I'll save this post and try it next time.
Thanks!

I did it, but eliminated the thumbnail...

The reason I use the attached thumbnail is because you need an account with some Photo posting site to do it another way.
If you remove the pic from the site it no longer shows up in your Post.

The thumbnail stays with the post maybe forever.

Also the same method as posting a thumbnail allows you to post other types of documents so it is handy to know.
