Your problem sounds similar to what I had back then. It has been almost 7 years since I fixed my car and it is still working fine today. My fix involved replacing the K40 relay and another smaller one.

Still in the early going, but it looks as though replacing the K40 has solved the problem.

K40 replacement solves many weird electrical gremlins.
