W211 E320 CDIs are rugged.....
I've taken mine on several trips cross country. On the last one, drove 20 miles on washed out, washboard strewn, pothole infested road to Chaco Canyon, NM and 13 miles out on ruts. Great vehicle!

Cool! I was out there many moons ago and wanted to run out to the canyon in my 84 280e euro, but it was late in the day and I chickened out. Lovely country.

Nice. I'm really tempted by a 211 wagon for our next car unfortunately the diesel wagon was never imported. At least the m112 wagons are reliable and easy to find.
