Nate, seeing it is vinyl covered, why couldn't professional strength J.B. Weld be used to glue it back on?

I think that the slight rotating as you pull it forward is prolly right .

I'll get back to you alls about this when I address it again ~ busy doing front end and engine repairs blah blah blah right now .

Good thing I retired so I finally have time to work on all these old vehicles I own, sadly I also now have the luxury of naps as often / long as I want so things are slowly moving along .

I need to learn how to remove it without breaking it ~ I've tried several ways on junkers in the ready to crush row and i always seem to break it where the single solitary clip that holds it in place connects .

I'm sure someone here knows ? .

TIA, a pic. would be helpful .
After releasing the 3 forward facing plastic clips, (hidden under the fabric covered door trim), pull upwards (with a slight shimmy on the left and right) as shown with the pink arrows on Figure 1 and Figure 2.

The metal clip (seen on Figure 2) , (with a close up on Figure 3), clips onto the body and has two sharp barbs to secure it to the body.

Inserting a long wooden rod horizontally to lift the tab beforehand (and release the barbs) may be beneficial to assure the panel releases readily as you simultaneously pull the panel upwards.

Nate: I pulled the panels today from an 83 W123 at the Richmond Pick-n-Pull. They may not be the right color for your vehicle. PM me if you need them. If you don't need them, I'll just return them for store credit.

Question

Those are Wagon covers , correct ? .

I keep saying I have a Sedan....

How much $ did you spend on these ? .Maybe I should buy them for my Wagon (?).

If/when I ruin the covers I have I'll get right back to you ! .
