Another beautiful 240D on Ebay!

I think I like this better than the red one I posted here last week. Very nice! Take a look.

TXBill, the interior of that car is nice. Just look at the carpet! It looks new. It says the reserve is met at $2000. That is cheap. I bet it will double before it is over.

Yeah, that 300cd is a repeat. I saw it a week or two ago. I think it has a high reserve. Who knows. Heck of a reflection huh?

The buy-it-now on that 240D was $3000 before the reserve was met.

I scour ebaymotors like every 12 hours or so, every single day

Wow, 163 miles, no wonder it's in nice shape.

Too bad it's an automatic.

Have a great day,

I love how the auction states"for a 4-cyl diesel it has a lot of get up and go!" What other 4-cyl diesels were around back then? The only one I can think of is a rabbit :p

In that 300CD... is that the original battery? Or did that rich guy just always go to mercedes for EVERY service? I see that looks like a stock merc brand battery! That car is in BEAUTIFUL condition!

Yeah, that is a nice touch. The car looks beautiful, but I don't think that "get up and go" would ever apply to a normally aspirated 4 cylinder diesel in a 3000+ lb car. Hehehe

On the 300CD mentioned above, what is the white looking canister behind the windshield washer fluid bottle ? That isn't the oil filter housing is it ?

Preety sure it is a water separator. Had one on my 78 and I think this was a "dealer option" around then. Of questionable or no value so I removed mine.
