Post European Headlamps

Well ;

I have a Commercial Account so you'll have to ask them.....

I bought both a pair of complete headlights and a pair of the glass lenses .

FWIW, the lamps complete are not marked M-B like the originals are ~ no casted in part #'s either .

Made somewhere in Europe so not Chinese crap but not quite what I'd hoped for either .

Apparently just not going to get this wagon finished: can't find a spark plug wire nor make one up. So no point even bothering Tom.

Are the lenses not marked either?

Is that the only reason you are not satisfied?

Red face I'm Lost Here ~

" Spark Plug Wire " on a DIESEL ? .

Clue me in please .

I spent most of the day replacing the driver's door on an '81 W126 300SD ~ you have to UNthread the harness through some hard bends and then re thread it back through the new door.... . then of course the windows have to be switched because he likes the tint better, swap handles, window lifts etc.....

Repair the grotty switches so the seat now adjusts properly...

Then NO DINNER .

Dammit .

I'm still confused as to what spark plug wire you need ? .

There is six ignition wires on a M110.

Got to love picky clients...

Why no dinner?

I can't go without. If I missed a family meal, bet there be left overs. Or make a sandwich. If in the city, find a fast food joint worse case situation. But then mother used to put us to bed hungry to punish us, so might have a bias to eating dinner.

O.K.;

So you need a set of plug wires for an M110 ? should be simple enough, no ? .

Beware of Robert Bosh 5MM ignition wires made in the U.S. ~ they suck plain and simple .

Better to go with Beru or other European brand that imports their product rather than re labeling local junk .

E-Bay or Amazon can be your friend here .

We're both old and living on fixed incomes so occasionally I have to skip a mean or three ~ no worries, I'm fat .

Moms was sorry she had me and withheld food and anything else to punish me for being born, oops , as I said before : life isn't fair so suck it up and make the best of things .

Nate, I just needed one.

I wasn't paying attention and despite putting all the wires over the intake, still caught one in the cam gear (have to use the starter to adjust the valve lash as no way to put a wrench on any of the nuts).

Hobbled together some parts, though now don't like how soft the brakes are, so now considering replacing the master cylinder, as have to take it off to check anyway.

The set she came with is Beru. So I bought Beru wire and ends and crimped myself using the special jaws in the ratcheting crimper I already had. However, the rotor cap end is botched as the small 90* connectors are N.L.A. manufactured by anyone.

Don't have food banks or charities?

I have no income, so understand. The food banks are all that is available and the food is always spoiled. So for the next couple weeks will have to hope something comes up.

What fun, we both had mothers that didn't want us and punished us for it. Yes, I have moved on and making the best of what I have. My mommy is my Oma, so had to accept my mommy is dying (just turned 97). Turns out was expecting the women (who are far advanced of my age and so just friends) friends in my life to fill that void. Now that know, quit it and quit one out of four friends (lost two, but still have one left).

Post ~

I see about the plug wire I've been a Field mechanic most of my Career so making do comes naturally to me .

I bet i know where there are some 5MM, 90° wire pieces languishing but I no longer work there and so can't get 'em .

Can't find one in a Self Service Junk Yard ? .

I'm no big fan of the M110 engine ~ yes it's a sweet running InLine 6 Banger
(I'm a serious i6 enthusiast/nutcase) that's powerful and made to be driven hard and fast but, it's also a thirsty beast and if not looked after closely, occasionally spits cam shims, ruining your day not to mention the cylinder head .

My Parents were Depression Babies and many of those seem to have issues .

The good thing is : I made damn sure my Son knew/knows he's wanted/loved and I taught him well ~ he's happy and well adjusted, @ 37 Y.O. is far ahead of me in most every way .

If you can beg/borrow a pressure bleeder I highly suggest flushing and then bleeding the entire brake system ~ so few do and it'll save the master cylinder from that pesky "failed on the first real cold snap of the year' syndrome .

I *think* I'm using the basic bleeder ~ I can't find it OnLine but it's about $45 so I imagine cheaper used or rent one maybe ? .

That be more than I was asking.

Thank you so very much, Nate.

O.K. glad to be of help but remember :

I deliberately keep my plate overfilled so I forget and it often takes me a while.....

I didn't answer your Q. about the nice repop grey floor mats :

I like stock(ish) rigs but I also often mix and match to get what I want and I like light colored floors....
