trans for 190D fit 300D?

hello,
I need a transmission for my 87 300D turbo
I found an 87 190D non turbo
Will the trans for the 190D fit in my 300D?

Your 300D has a 722.3, the 190d had a 722.4. The transmission will fit but it won't last very long with the 603t torque. Also the driveshaft yoke is different.

I'm pretty sure the 95 is also a 722.4.

Yes. There is an engine torque limit around ~170ish where everything below that number got 722.4 and everything above if got the 722.3. The 260e, e300d and all the 4cyl gasser w124s sold in Europe got the 722.4. These also had smaller flex disk and thinner spline at the center support bearing. The 722.3 is physically larger and makes fitting it in the w201 chassis difficult. That's why the factory never sold a 3.0 m103/w201.
