300sd starter motor not stoping

When i turn key to start car, some times starter motor stays runing untill turn key back and forth
It doesn't seem to happen when i cycle glow plugs twice, igition switch asm has been replaced, could this be starter solenoid? also When car is hot if you cycle glow plugs once car only cranks no start,cycle twice starts ok ?
