Hey all, just wanted to introduce myself and say thanks for all the useful information I've found on this site over the past few months while ive been looking for a car. I just picked up a grey 87 300td wagon with 175k miles, needs quite a bit of work but I think it's a solid start. From what I can tell it started out in the northeast, then to Montana or Wyoming, Minnesota, iowa, Nebraska, and now it's back In iowa. I'm new to mercedes, but not to diesels in general, and I hope to get this one back to glory in the next few years. Aside from a few rust issues my first problems to tackle are numerous oil weeps, control arm bushings, possibly a wheel bearing, squeaky blower motor, leaky inoperable sunroof, and freshen up the Motor (has a serious lope at idle.. injectors?). I'm sure I'll be asking many questions in the future, but the search option has proven invaluable thus far. Thanks!
