Pictures of 940 Blau

Looking for pictures of what seems to be rare 940 paint code, either Marine or Hansa Blau.

Is this one?
1984 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series STATION WAGON | eBay
The data plate is different and can't see the paint code on it.

Thinking the color that the hood was, as splotches of a bright blue with hints of aqua, but not a metalic, not as green as Petrol Blau. Just not sure how to get a good picture.

Thank y'all in advance!

Nope, isn't #904 Midnight Blue. Midnight blue is a lot darker. That's #929 nautikblau.

The old Mercedes Roadside Assistance station wagons from the 80s used to be #929 nautikblau or gloss white. May have a history a roadside car. Far fetched, but very possible.

Jake, thank you so very much for the reply!

Drat, dyslexia strikes again...

The 280TE I am working on is the rare 904 Dunkle Blau. The roof and hood paint might not be salvageable, so having fun playing around with a pipe dream of painting the belt line crease up with a lighter shade. This also help here in the desert where having a almost black roof really heats the interior.

Interesting you bring up the roadside vehicals, as that is where got the idea to eventually paint the now wrecked 300TD-T dark green lower with the original classic white upper.

929 comes up as a metallic, that eBay wagon isn't, is it? I didn't think my eyes were that bad.

Is 929 lighter or darker than 940?

My strong preference is against metallics due to the mess. Done before and disliked, but that is what was original and what was requested.

Sixto, does help!

That to me looks like Labrador Blau, which think be too light with Dunkel Blau. Also to me it lacks life, just same light blue. Dunkel is alive, sometimes looks like a medium blue other times black. Better example might be Manila.

China blue or close was very popular years ago. My 1954 Plymouth belvedere had it and I liked it. At least in my mind it was close enough.

I have a 1984 300d in a green I really do not like that much. It will be getting a repaint and I will not change the original color. I am only hoping it will look better in fresher paint.

That looks like China to me. Labrador is a little darker.

This is a confirmed Labrador:

The one of the side view is mine the head on view is a lookalike with a little nicer paint job. And I also like the look on a coupe.

Yes, I posted before reading...

Labrador is a nice color.

Interesting how this thread wend so the wrong direction. Have not seen a single example of 940 paint code, either Marine or Hansa Blau.

Wonder why didn't come up when searching for the color? The only one seen before is the last one.

In order of light to dark, China, Labrador, Hansa, Dunkle?
