Looking for a Good Source for a FSM for 85 300TD

Hello, I am looking for a source for a Factory Service Manual for an 85 300 Turbo Diesel. I have searched the thread but most of the information is @ 5 years old and dead links unless I haven't dug deep enough.

Trying to fix multiple issues.
Thanks,
Jonathan

I have had the version on CD and then ended up picking up some original paperback versions and by far the paper versions are so much better. Spend a little bit of time on eBay and they will pop up and they are worth the money. You will never look back!

I came across this site that has many MB manuals available for download. This one appears to be the equivalent of the original DVDs and is also available free on Startekinfo (But initially at least that did not work very well)

I know of one person who bought from these guys. Said they were easy to deal with and were helpful in making an exchange when buyer chose the wrong manual.

I second trying to get a paper copy if you can. The digital one has pictures that are often little more than striped gray squares. Not very helpful if it's a job that requires you to "see fig. 1" or some little detail that supposedly an arrow is pointing to or whatever.

If you are buying a paper copy, check with the seller to see what the print date is. You want one that covers the updates over the entire production run.

I did the same. I don't know about the Manual on Startek but the W123 printed books have more info in them then is in the CD Set.

One of them is the front end alignment specs.

I picked up a set of paper manuals off E-Bay several year ago for something
line $250. Don`t remember the exact price.
Vol 1 & 2 w123.
Manual for the 617.95 turbo engine
Climate control manual W123 covers type 1, 2 and 3 systems.
Maintenance manual for model years 81 - 93

Once in a while I find MB manuals at car shows, used book stores and even garage sales or estate sales.

Keep checking E-bay and CL

I did pick up a few CD`s off E-bay a time or two, but having the paper manual is so much easier.

A good thing about having both, find what you need in the paper manual, then print the section you need from the CD.
this way you keep your manuals grease free.
