Absolutely right. One of my main intents. And noted on the hinge pockets and drains. Learned that in 2003

Finally got around to doing this.
The battery cable in my CD was not OE for whatever reason. The lead terminal was no longer able to be clamped down, and was loose on the battery terminal. I bought a 12” 1/0 cable from A vendor on eBay that sells custom length cables with their own US made high flex wire. My old wire was like 16” and looped backwards. I bought 12”. In hindsight,mI Chou I’d probably have gotten 1 ga vs 1/0 ga, because the 0.025 mOhm for one foot of cable won’t make a difference, but the bend radii woukd have been helpful., All the same it works great. The bolt is an 8mm shaft, 13mm head, like so many other MB bolts. Clean the interface between the lug and cable well, as well as the bolt and hole. I used brake cleaner on all of them. All good! I will add a supplemental from the bolted ground point to the alternator body when I have a second to find some good ring terminals...
