stolen ashtray!

By chance does anyone have an ashtray insert laying around for a 1987 W124 300D? Someone broke into my car and instead of just taking the change in the tray they took the entire insert. They didn't take anything else, but I don't leave anything in my car to take.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

G

you could try Row 52, LQK auto parts or Eurasian Auto in Wichita, Kansas.

Ashtray

How far do you think they walked with an ashtray after they took the change out? Probably not very far. Check that area for an ashtray. They probably threw it behind something; I doubt if they would have had the courtesy to use a trash can to put it in.

Get an ash tray assembly out of a later 90+ W124 or W201. Its a better design.

the ash tray inserts in the later models don't fit, I already pulled one and found that out and if i pull the whole thing the wood won't match. I just need the small insert. I did look around for it thinking they would dump it, but couldn't find it. I'll try the retailers listed above.

I changed my 87 from this:

To this:

You can have the old one for the cost of shipping. It is in the garage somewhere. If you can wait a bit until I find it - it is yours.
