diesel fuel injector rebuild
Hello all, I have ~150k on my '98 E300 and I'd like to have the fuel injectors rebuilt with new nozzles, either Bosio or Monark. I can order the nozzles myself, but can anyone recommend a good Mercedes diesel shop to rebuild them?
I've got none near me, as far as I know, here in the Washington DC metro area. I can pack them up carefully and ship them wherever, just want a competent experienced shop to work on them, who will ultrasonic clean the parts, and pop-test and shim them to correct opening pressure. I know it can be done DIY, but I don't own a pop-tester, an ultrasonic cleaner, or an injector shim collection, so I'd rather let a Pro handle it who has the proper equipment to do it right. Thank you |
Don't know how far your willing to drive. I live in Fredericksburg and used a place in Stafford to get my head rebuilt on my 79 300D. The owner seemed very knowledgeable on Mercedes. They specialize in diesels. Sykes Warehouse 131 Wyche Rd Stafford VA. 22554 540-7207752 |
Contact forum member Greazzer he does this as a service and has all the right equipment.
He's done my two sets of IDI injectors and does great work. |
Greazzer is Da Man, so second to the above post. My injectors in the race truck are from him and they work GREAT.

X100 for me.

Yes, Greazzer. He'll send you a set first for payment with a core charge and accept good cores back and return your core charge. He includes everything needed except for the wrench to R&R...injectors, heat shields, OV. They will be balanced closer than factory. Turn around time was quick too.

Great, thank you for all of the helpful replies.
