Trim Grill Faxteners

The two grills at base of windshield by wiper arms (dont know what they're called) are held on with 4 ea square plastic clips. Does anybody know how to remove them? I tried pressing down on the center pins and they do go down but dont release anything.

Are these the applicable clips?

They would appear to be a one time use thing as it is not possible to pull the center pin up since it sits flush with the top.

As always, thanks for the help.

The center rectangular pins press all the way through and out. You should then be able to remove the grille. The center pins will end up laying in the bottom of the air duct where they can be retrieved and reused.

That is except for the one or two which will go down the drain hole never to be seen again. Spares can be obtained from ebay.

Ah yes, got it. Thank you.

Have a link handy to one of those ebay sources (just in case the unthinkable happens)?

sometimes they get kind of jammed and it can take force to push them through. use a blunt-tipped instrument like a piece of wood or you will score or destroy the pattern on top.
