Hi, unfortunately I was involved in a small fender bender with my 81 240d and wanted to know if anyone has had good body work done in the Austin, TX area for one of these type cars. Thank you,

Not on my W123 (thankfully), but Don's Paint and Body Shop near the corner of 12th and Lamar repaired some minor collision damage on my wife's W211 wagon about a year ago and they did a good job. I had Whitaker's Auto Body and Paint replace the bumper fillers and repair a dent in the rear quarter panel that required some painting on my Cadillac about 15 years ago and was pleased with the work they did (it has held up well, too). Neither shop was inexpensive.

I've not had any work done on one of my MBs here in Austin. But several years ago Berli's in Pflugerville did work on my '02 GTI. Very nice shop and great work. Lots of high-end cars are taken there. Expensive, though.

If you don't already know the folks at Austin ********, I would give them a call and ask who they recommend. Lots of shops in the North Lamar area, YMMV.
