85 300D climate control problem

I've searched and searched and can't find anything resembling my problem.

Up until a few weeks ago the A/C and heat worked fine. On my way back on a long trip there started to be some problems with the fan stopping randomly. By the time I got home it was out completely. I pulled the CCU and re-soldered every pin figuring something had shook loose coming across some terrible roads. I replaced the cold engine lock out switch and put the CCU back in and it appears that one of the relays was out because it kept buzzing back and forth. Swapped out the CCU for a known good unit (unplugged the aux pump first) There's no buzzing from the unit now but the only way to stop the compressor from kicking on is to unplug the unit on the temp wheel side. The fan will not come on with any setting nor will the AC compressor ever stop running. I have absolutely no idea what's causing this. If anyone has any ideas I'd appreciate it. Thanks.
