Change over valve image
Hi folks:
I am attaching an image of change over valve. There are 5 of these in my w123, 1985 300D turbo. They are electrically controlled vacuum valves. Their function is to send or not to send vacuum to various vacuum elements. The vacuum elements on their part are responsible for opening or closing of various flaps like defrost flaps, vent flaps, leg toom flaps, thereby directing the flow of air to a particular location. This is as simple as I can make it. A camera film is kept for size comparison. MVK 1985 300D turbo 123

Those blasted valves. I had to change one recently but I eventually plan to change the other four just to get it out of the way, and therefore rule them out for any future problems. I guess since parts shop has them for around $20 a piece, it's probably worth it.
