Congrats. You are more adventerous than I am. I've been messing with tranny leak all weak and finally got it licked today after almost runining the tranny.

JCD,
If you're up to replacing the master cylinder and tie-rods, you're certainly ready to do your own valve adjustment. Why not? |
Chicken
Benchracer.....I'm basically chicken to adjust the valves. Maybe I'll wait until Txbill gets his FAQ instructions up and give it a whirl. Plus, I do like to have an expert look at the car once in a while.
Turbodiesel. I went to your buddy Heinz at Roxbury Foreign Auto. He is great and runs a very good shop. Thanks for the tip. He even checked out the timing chain, etc and said......PERFECT. Glad you got the tranny leak fixed. JCD |
Glad you did ok with Hienz. He isn't the cheapest guy around but he's fair and does good work.

He's not all that unreasonable
He charged me about $110 for the valve adjustment. Not bad, not the best, but not bad. He does a good job. It's amazing how much better the 300D starts and idles. It even picked a little bit of pep.
