That was my thought on the "bigger turbo" and "bigger IP". I am happy keeping my boost at 10 psig. No need to risk melting the pistons. I already had the engine in my 1985 300D fail at 300K miles. I think the earlier non-turbo diesels are the ones with the million-mile reputation.

The former shows how expensive a shop restore can be (often $50K+) or how little money you would make flipping cars (after valuing their time and risk). There are plenty others w/ fake drama and deadlines, particularly American Hot Rod (Coddington's shop) and Graveyard Cars. But, I enjoy them all for what they are and learn from all of them. I did stop watching Fast N'Loud because the beards and attitudes were grating, with minimal tech details in all the bragging.
I will have to watch it again as I saw nothing of the sort in regards to technical information, just a bunch of laughing and chuckling.
I do remember an episode where they were supposed to be doing a regular maintenance on a Ferrari and could only think, I wonder how much the owner of the Ferrari got paid to have them touch it and do the work. I hope around $125/hr or better.

Over the past year it was nice to see Mike Brewer demonstrate some of his technical abilities. Edd China will really be missed. He was genuine.

That show won't BE a show w/o Edd! Gonna miss him, hair and all. I think Velocity is murdering the Golden Goose - their assumption that drama sells programming is dead wrong, at least in my world.

Sad news that Edd is leaving, apparently because Velocity took over and wanted to dumb-down the technical aspects. It is cheaper to film guys screaming at each other than actually demonstrating tricky repairs. The dichotomy between Ed's proper speaking and manners against Mike's more base British haggling made the dialog interesting. Something even us Americans could notice. Perhaps Wheeler Dealers will now devolve into a fake Miami Tow, with British accents.

I only get to see these types of shows when I'm on the occasional business trip since I don't have cable.

The head guy on F/L is a total looser whom is playing to the crowd watching on big screen from Rent A Center, has a rusted out Chevy Cobalt from the buy here pay here lot and is between shots of heroin.

Same goes for the now into obscurity Monster Garage guy.

Agree. This was the best and most entertaining show on Velocity.
