Yup it's my 99 e300. I took a look at it, shaft isn't chewed and looks ok. Bearing is tight so I guess I'll just order a new pulley and put it back on

Your 99 should already have one from the factory unless someone removed it. Its absolutely essential for anything over 90a on a diesel.

You will need the "special tool" to install it.
