How much injector bleed down between starts is acceptable? added video

So I had greazzer rebuild my injectors on my om602 at 215k. I had some slight injector nailing and that cleared it up, I would recommend. In addition at the time of rebuild i installed new line between each injector. I noticed after the first time bleeding them it ran great. But after sitting for overnight or a day it has a very rough idle until it self bleeds again. I swapped in some clear bio diesel rated line to see if i could see it bleed down and in fact i can. So is this acceptable? Is it normal? Does this mean i need to rebuild my delivery vales? Any input would be helpful.

You should have zero bleed down. Check all fuel connections from the prefilter through to the return line first. Could also be lift pump or pressure regulator bolt but start with the simple stuff.

^x2 The acceptable amount of bleed down is NONE.

Look for weeping at your fuel line connections to see if you have a leak somewhere. If the fuel level is dropping it is being displaced with air from somewhere.

Yes or you could purchase parts and rebuild your lift pump. Maybe better to check fuel pressure first if you have the adapters.

Not a 617, 602

Anyways i took a video of it running. Swapped all the injector lines over to clear to chase the air.

Awful lot of air in there. Bypass the fuel heater and go straight into the lift pump and see if your problems go away.

The Fuel Supply/Lift Pump is what would allow Fuel to migrate back to the Fuel Tank. But that assumes your system is air tight.

On your year and model the Fuel Pressure Relief/Overflow Valve has an air bleed inside of it so it wold not keep pressure from bleeding off.

Yeah, Too Much

You've got an opening somewhere allowing air in.

Lift Pump and the "Fuel Pre-Heater" are the most likely actors.
