Does anyone have a 617 tranny plate?

I'm making an adapter plate for an nv4500 on my om617.952 and it would be nice to have the original auto tranny plate to reference and more accurately scribe holes... I had one but got rid of it blindly, does anyone else have one laying around? I'd love to have one, I've got lots of other stuff to trade

is your plate going between the rear aluminum plate and the bellhousing of the 4500 or the block of the 617 and the bellhousing? if you are making a plate between the rear plate and the trans i might look carefully at the pilot shaft engagement length. it might be better to make it a single monolithic piece of aluminum and just use the bolt pattern on the rear of the block in which case you don't need an original plate just some calipers to take the bolt hole centers and spacing. if however you do need an original plate i have a few. just pm me and we can work something out.

Depends on where you are, but I have several intermediate plates here in CA. Others may be closer though.

Dude, I posted the drawings of 617-> GM many times before. Also, I have a GM->617 plate sitting in my shed right now. It's going to need offset pins, but that's no big deal.

You will also need a flywheel from the newer GM small blocks with 1 piece rear mains. That has an appropriate circle to be redrilled for the 617 12 bolt pattern.

VW flywheel bolts are also M10x1 and come in many flavors. You can find one that's the correct length to bolt the GM flywheel to the 617 crank.

If you use a 3/8" plate, and a chevy flywheel, it should space the clutch to just about right.

Bolt patterns, flanges, mounts etc

I've got a decent database of other drawings as well (SBC, TDI, Toyota, etc. etc.) PM you your email address and I'll share the love.

If you want my already cutout 617->SBC plate let me know. I'd trade it to you for 1 piece of information: starter bolt hole locations(once you figure them out).

I never got that far with the mockup, and it's something I can't just do on the computer.
