Front Passenger Window Switch Pinouts---What Does What? ('81 300D W123)

So, until I get a replacement passenger-side front window switch (cheapo replacement by PO quit working and the plastic fell apart in my hands), I was thinking I could use some alligator clip jumper wires to at least be able to operate the windows until I get the switches (no A/C and mid-Summer, ya kinda need the windows!). See the photo of my pinouts, with the top being the front passenger switch and the bottom the rear passenger.

A check of my "A Prospero Garage" wire diagram shows that green/yellow is UP and white/black is DOWN for the front window, and green/red is UP and white/blue is DOWN. That's great, but...which frickin' pinouts are which? Since the wires come from one side of the switch connector, it isn't real obvious which ones are which, so...I don't really want to start touching wires together randomly for obvious reasons. My assumption is all I have to do is touch the pinout needed to (for example) lower the window with the ground pinout, and that will complete the circuit and perform the same function as a switch would. Basically, I'd jam the nose of two alligator clips into said up or down pinouts, and also one for ground. Then, simply attach an alligator clip wire between the two needed loose ends of the clips to perform whatever function needed (raise or lower). Should work...but I've yet to find which pinouts are which.

Hope you can help!

Yo Homy !

Those Black Plastic "Pin (Receiver)Holders" DO OPEN UP Rather easily !

So, That youse may "See" the pins soldered to the Correct Individual Colored
Wires.

Do be Gentle with the "Pin (Receiver) Holders" !

They are like a Suitcase with snap lock fasteners.

Sure, I could open the backside to see where those wires go, but...with the passenger front switch, I still don't know if I could simply touch the green/yellow pinout with the red/black wire on that switch to get the down function to work...or if I'd have to touch the green/yellow to the brown ground wire location on the rear switch. On the diagram I have (see photo), the red/black wire leads to a number "8", but I have no idea what number "8" means. Is that a power lead? Is that to the fuse box?

Basically, I'm just trying to complete the circuits to get the functions to work...that's all.

If I'm not mistaken, you can plug the rear switch into the front connector and it should make the window go up and down if that switch worked on the rear.

Of course, the back switch is not functioning on the passenger side. Suppose I could grab the driver's side back door switch and give it a whirl...after all, a switch is a switch, as long as the pins are the same.

I am talking about the switches on the center console. Both plugs are the same, so either the front or rear half of the double switch will plug into either connector. I doubt the switches on the rear doors will work. I have not tried, so I don't know for sure.
