Digital Photo Tachmeter
I'm a bit of a meter junky. Unfortunately my budget doesn't allow too much indulgence.
I've been wanting one of the title gadgets for some time but was thinking I'd have to shell out at least $100. Then I found one for $30. I'm of the "...get what you pay for" Philosophy when it comes to tools so I did a YouTube search to find the linked video which challenges a mfr.'s "0.05% +\- 1 digit" accuracy claim using an oscilloscope. I ended up buying the one he reviewed for $10(free shipping from the west coast)! "Ohh boy! This is just too gooood!" -Syndrome Can't wait to try it. I was going to post the video link but don't want to mislabeled as a Spammer. You can do your own research or PM me for details(is that a post violation?) I went top end and bought a Monarch system. We used them on the dynos at EPA and I knew it was an excellent unit. However, I've heard good things about the Internet-sourced ones, too but have no hands-on with them. My Monarch was NOT cheap!

Wow thanks for sharing. The price on these has really come down. I think I'll get one for my milling machine.

Decent enough for reasonable applications at around ten dollars shipped to your door from China. If the price has not risen yet.
