Coupe back seat window play

I searched but can't find the answer.

If I open the door I can grab the window at the arrow and move it. The window will go all the way up, actually more than it should so the aluminum edge will cross the door glass.

Is this a regulator problem? I'm trying to get an idea what to look for when I get in there. Thanks.

Have you adjusted the Windows.?

Also you will need to lube the rails.

The front window had several adjustments.

Once you have that done. The rear window is adjusted so that the metal trim is parallel to the front window edge.

Hope that helps. But your wording has confused me so I apologize if my answer is off point

Sorry about that.

My front window is fine. The back side window will go past where it should stop. If I back it down a bit to where it should be, it's loose. I can grab it at the arrows and move it back and forth. It will go up and down normally.

I was hoping someone would have had this problem before.

Someone did a write-up about the rear windows but they said removing the panel with the FSM is wrong and can damage the panel but they didn't give the correct way to remove it.

Take that rear panel off and you will find that your mechanism bolts are loose. Tighten them and replace the nuts with elastic stop nuts (aircraft nuts).

Nothing magical about getting that panel off.
1. Remove rear seat and seat back.
2. Pry switch out and remove connector
3. Panel is held in place by the usual snap fasteners.
4. If you have to remove the sail panel (don't remember) just be careful to not snap any plastic fixtures.

This is something that your going to just have to open it up and see what's going on in there. Take panel off and move the window around like you are doing in your picture and see what is causing it.

The guy above me sounds like he is correct with his diagnosis but please don't just stop with fixing those bolts and be done. Male sure that you give everything a once over when u have the panel off, fix other crappy nuts, clean out debris, and etc.

MOST IMPORTANTLY clean, grease and lube all the gear teeth, window rails, and just the whole mechanism.
