And by the by, I think if there were any way to weld wings on both the rack damper bolt (for the adjustment) and the locknut, this would be SO much easier! You could very easily use your left hand on the locknut while adjusting the rack damper bolt with your right hand IF they were made in "wingnut" fashion. I'm confident that could work quite well.
