"Euro" headlights for left hand drive cars?

Anyone know the specific model of Hella lights that are for an left hand drive 85 wagon, with vacuum adjust and wipers? Looking for a pair to put on my euro wagon.

I don't know part numbers but the ones from England won't work.

The reason why RHD Euro headlights are different, is the direction of the beam through the lens. A sticker is available that covers the lens so those lights can be used in countries with LHD cars. RHD Euro lights with the conversion stickers I think are unique and very cool.....Rich

If you know anyone who needs a Low spec RHD Euro lens let me know. I got one from a seller who didn't want to offer a refund.

I bought a set of Bosch "euro" lights on Ebay for a 201, and they turned out to be for RHD. The light pattern went up to the left, instead of up to the right, so they would blind oncoming traffic in a LHD scenario. I took the lenses off and painted silver paint over the part of the pattern that made that wedge up to the left, so the pattern was even across (like fog lamps).

To answer the OP, you'll need to get access to the EPC (electronic parts catalog) and search for the lens part numbers, and then you'll be able to order them if you like.

.
That is exactly what the conversion stickers do, so it would not really be a deal breaker if RHD is all that is available.

You are right, the E.P.C. does not have Hella, just Bosch. If had the VIN, could double check.

Another option is have Tom at the Classic Center double check.

Have seen European market headlights dry up over the last couple years. Worse, can't find the correct corner lamps (no reflector and seems dark amber), but seems Hella should be easier.

Even not long ago, could find aftermarket glass lenses, and now that like to have a set, none available.

Further, every set I have bought has arrived in a million little broken bits. Since eBay does not have any protection and insurance is for the seller (and of course can't be bothered once he/she has gotten his/her money), have lost over $1,000. So trying to keep my eyes open for right Bosch parts and fix the one damaged ages ago in the accident. If I wanted a full set, be only local or from the Center so know will get something usable.

B.T.W., looks like can still get the internal grills and reflectors new.

Hope this helps.

Oh and do like the wipers with washers and especially that when federalized the wipers were not removed. Those certainly are irreplaceable.

It's the little things like all the euro extra equipment I really love about this car.
